Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy at North Lakes
Do you have any recurring physical pain? Or don't find it quite as easy to get about as you should? As well as helping recovery from injury, physiotherapy can help make your daily life easier.
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy (also known as physical therapy) is a practice used to treat issues with strength, mobility, flexibility and those arising from injury. Unlike treatment with medicine, physiotherapy is purely physical relying on movement and force instead.
What are the benefits of physiotherapy?
If you undergo physiotherapy you'll benefit, most importantly, from an increased quality of life. Regardless of whether you suffer from chronic back pain, recently broken bones or a simple sprained ankle physio will help you return to normal function.
Simple tasks like getting out of bed and picking things up will become less taxing. And so will more strenuous things. If a niggling problem has kept you from exercise in the past, with the help of physio you may be able to overcome that.
At North Lakes Physio our team cover the following areas of physiotherapy and more:
- Graded exercise therapy
- Injury specific exercise
- Movement and gait analysis
- Frictioning
- Taping
- Mobilisations
- Manipulations
- Acupuncture
- Cognitive functional therapy

When you come to North Lakes Physio we'll give you a service tailored to you. We'll look at any problems you may have and discuss them and their possible causes. We'll work out the best plan so you can start feeling like you again in a way that's realistic and manageable. In addition to sessions with us, we'll give you exercises you can do at home. So your problems will be resolved as quickly as possible.
